About The Position

Austill's Educational Therapy Services, a leading provider of school-based related services in southeastern PA for over 40 years, is seeking a Physical Therapist. This flexible position involves working 5 days/week, with part-time options considered. The caseload includes treating and supervising a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for 2 days/week with school-age students in Ridley Park, PA, and 3 days/week treating preschool students near Aston, PA. This role is expected to continue through the summer/ESY session and into the next school year, emphasizing work-life balance. Austill's is dedicated to enhancing students' lives through high-quality educational therapy services and supports its therapists with experienced Educational Therapy Managers, a Peer Mentor Program, and a commitment to innovation and research. The company also maintains strong relationships with regional universities and community groups through its Clinical Fieldwork Program and various service projects. Pediatric experience is a plus, and strong mentorship is provided for those new to school-based practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant educational program
  • Valid Pennsylvania Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect License
  • Passion for working with children and a clear dedication to helping them maximize their potential
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional desire to be a collaborative team member, learn and grow
  • Completion of a thorough background check, with all clearances completed within one year of the start date unless otherwise indicated

Responsibilities

  • Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12
  • Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation
  • Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions, including updated goals and treatment strategies
  • Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended
  • Some travel may be required throughout the school day
