About The Position

The position is for a full-time Physical Therapist who will provide physical therapy services at an entry to intermediate skills level to individual patients. The therapist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team and will be responsible for evaluating patients, planning individualized therapy programs, and supervising patient exercises. The role includes cross-training in post-surgical, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. The working hours are 80 hours biweekly, with a schedule of 2 days a week from 10 AM to 6:30 PM (days TBD) and 3 days a week from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, including weekend and holiday rotation. The position is also eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
  • Plans individualized physical therapy programs for each patient.
  • Directs and supervises patients in various exercises and training.
  • Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures for patients to continue.
  • Coordinates physical therapy activities with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conducts training for medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques.
  • Utilizes safe patient handling techniques for transfers and positioning.
  • Supervises PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Enhances professional growth through educational programs and workshops.
  • Acts as a role model in compliance with hand hygiene and patient identifiers.
  • Collaborates with team members to promote patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Utilizes SBAR for communication in patient care.
  • Provides outstanding service and fosters teamwork.
