Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted California Physical Therapist (PT) License.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, accurate documentation, and the ability to motivate residents throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive resident evaluations and create evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual recovery goals.
  • Provide high-quality, hands-on therapy in line with the California State Practice Act.
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and guide Restorative Aides to ensure consistent care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate daily notes, progress reports, and recertification documentation in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing and the broader clinical team; participate in care conferences and utilization reviews as needed.
  • Educate residents and families on safe mobility and home-exercise programs; recommend and coordinate necessary durable medical equipment (DME) such as walkers and braces.
