The job of the Physical Therapist, PT is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times Physical Therapist must possess the ability to plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., of the physical therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental and social well-being. Physical Therapist will interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary. Physical Therapist will participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act. Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents

Requirements

  • Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist, PT in the State of NY.
  • Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a Physical Therapist, PT

  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services
