About The Position

The Physical Therapist provides evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients in an acute care and/or rehabilitation hospital setting. The PT is responsible for implementing individualized care plans, assisting with patient mobility and transfers, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient functional outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience
• Strong skills in patient lifting, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care or rehabilitation environment
• First-time travelers accepted

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation hospital or specialty rehab unit
• Experience with interdisciplinary acute care teams

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis and goals
• Perform therapeutic interventions including mobility training, strengthening, balance, and range-of-motion exercises
• Assist patients with safe lifting, transfers, and functional mobility
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
• Document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient care
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital protocols
• Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation techniques
