This position will specialize in Women’s Health Physical Therapy, treating referrals for women’s health physical therapy such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and pain during pregnancy. The applicant must be willing to learn Postural Restoration from the Postural Restoration Institute if they haven’t already, and will be mentored by the manager for appropriate application of Postural Restoration.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in women’s health physical therapy is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn Postural Restoration from the Postural Restoration Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve mobility.
  • Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
  • Documents client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establishes therapeutic plans.
  • Educates clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current research in daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.
  • May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders.
  • Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organizations.
  • Participates in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health.
  • Interacts with individuals outside of the department including providers, case managers, and third-party payers.
  • May supervise assistants, aides, and students in providing care and treatment.
  • Provides ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise.
