About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 201 Pleasant Hill Road, Chester NJ 07930. This position is per diem/PRN, offering a compensation of $59/hr plus shift differential. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges due to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. We offer an extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into our setting, and there are opportunities for advancement based on demonstrated skills and dedication.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
• Provide ongoing evaluation of patient's status and goals, modifying treatment program for timely progression.
• Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize patient outcomes and return to community activities.
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services and available community resources.
• Provide patient education, including the development of comprehensive and progressive home programs.
• Prepare for patient discharge, including ordering necessary equipment and recommendations for therapeutic services.
• Evaluate patients in actual or simulated home, school, work, or community environments as necessary.
• Identify and manage various levels of care necessary to ensure care plan delivery.
• Delegate and supervise the utilization of PTAs and support personnel to maximize patient outcomes.
