About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 300 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ. This position is per diem/PRN with a compensation of $59/hr plus shift differential. Requirements

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certified BLS certification.
  • Per Diem Requirement: Two (8 HR) shifts per month, including at least one weekend and one high need day (week day, weekend, or holiday).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
  • Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
  • Design functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities.
  • Educate patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
  • Perform professional duties associated with patient care and development of therapy services.
  • Establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for assigned patients.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient status and modify treatment programs for timely progression.
  • Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and community reintegration.
  • Coordinate treatment programs with other clinical/therapeutic services and community resources.
  • Attend clinical meetings to facilitate coordination of care.
  • Provide patient education, including comprehensive home programs for safe and effective discharge.
  • Prepare for patient discharge by ordering necessary equipment and recommending therapeutic services.
  • Evaluate patients in home, school, work, or community environments as necessary for community reintegration.
  • Identify and manage various levels of care necessary for effective care plan delivery.
  • Delegate and supervise the utilization of PTAs and support personnel to maximize patient outcomes.
