About The Position

The position is for a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic-focused outpatient rehabilitation clinic. The role involves interpreting physician referrals, completing various evaluations, establishing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient outcomes, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure optimal patient care. The therapist will also be responsible for documentation, maintaining productivity standards, and participating in performance improvement activities. The position requires some evening hours and offers flexibility with scheduling. A $5000 sign-on bonus is available, payable in two installments.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets physician referrals and completes evaluations.
  • Establishes and implements individual treatment plans based on evaluations.
  • Monitors and evaluates treatment outcomes and adjusts plans as necessary.
  • Plans and completes patient discharge, including home programs and referrals.
  • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders for optimal patient care.
  • Completes required documentation following department policy.
  • Maintains site/department established productivity standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Manages assigned caseload and informs leadership of coverage needs.
  • Pursues professional growth through continuing education.
  • May supervise physical therapy assistants and students.
