About The Position

Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Irving, TX Physical Therapist (PT) PRN Acute care PRN Rate: $60/hr Weekend PRN rate: $66/hr We are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our acute care team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Acute care experience, minimum one year required
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Minimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning to ensure safe and appropriate patient transitions
• Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
• Completing patient/family education related to mobility, safe transfers and home exercise programs, as appropriate
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
