About The Position

The position involves planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs that help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. You will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease, utilizing tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions while following safeguards. You will document client information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as necessary. Educating clients and their families about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home is also a key responsibility. The role may involve treating individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders, and you will be expected to demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Valid driver's license may be required when applicable.
  • Obtain and maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs.
  • Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents.
  • Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions.
  • Document client information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans.
  • Educate clients and their families about treatment plans and self-exercises.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-related treatments and evaluations.
  • Participate in activities to promote the department and organization.
  • Supervise assistants, aides, and students in providing care.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to peers.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by manager.
