About The Position

The Physical Therapist-Per Diem provides evaluation, program planning, and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy. This role includes documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students. The Physical Therapist participates in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one's self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education. The therapist ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist and continues his or her professional growth and development contribution to the Medical Center.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required.
• Outpatient experience required.
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, program planning, and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy.
• Documents patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Educates patients, families, hospital staff, and students about physical therapy processes.
• Participates in clinical research and education to enhance the profession and facility.
