Mercy Orthopaedics and Sports Rehabilitation is seeking a talented compassionate physical therapist committed to excellence. Mercy Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is the leader in evidenced based orthopedic and sports medicine care. All therapists work closely with the talented orthopedic physicians here at Mercy Health. The treatment model is impairment based and focused on; a hands-on evidence-based care that is delivered on a one to one basis. Therapists are trained in the latest advanced skills including, dry needling, manual therapy and manipulative skills, evidence-based return to play and advanced sports medicine training. The population of focus for the orthopedic team at Mercy Orthopaedics and Sports Rehabilitation Oxford Office is out-patient orthopedic, post-surgical, spine and sport medicine. We work closely with staff, students and the athletic population at Miami University as well as the general Oxford population.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a physical therapist in Ohio
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment including, Physicians, PT's, PTA's and other rehab professionals.
  • Ability to educate patients, families, caregivers and patient treatment teams.
  • Ability to manage a busy case load effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Orthopedic Certification Preferred
  • Manual Training or Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement Physical Therapy services using an impairment base approach according to the standards of practice, governing laws of the State of Ohio and facility and department policies and procedures.
  • Complete initial assessments, ongoing assessments and provide skilled therapeutic interventions to patients.
  • Gather pertinent information from various sources and develop an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals.
  • Provide direct therapy to patients daily following patient's plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient's progress.
  • Supervise the physical therapist assistant's treatment interventions and professional growth.
  • Promote rehabilitation services and wellness center activities with patients, family and caregivers.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, agencies/companies, families, etc. to ensure that the care needs of the patient are met.
