Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy required.
  • Doctorate preferred.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for license by the State of Ohio.
  • License must be posted in primary work site.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats patients in accordance with state and national practice acts.
  • Provides therapy evaluation to determine the extent of symptoms and/or functional limitations relevant to the diagnosis.
  • Develops treatment plans targeted to decrease or eliminate symptoms and functional limitations.
  • Documents progress in the electronic medical record and ensures quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI).
  • Supervises physical therapist assistants and students to assure that patient goals and objectives are met.
  • Consults with physicians and other team members regarding patient care.
  • Involves in clinical education and guest relations.
  • Handles billing for patient services rendered.
