About The Position

The Physical Therapist role at Orlando Health Ambulatory focuses on working with patients who have physical impairments, limitations, or disabilities due to various causes. This position involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to achieve optimal functional outcomes. The therapist will also provide education to patients and their families while ensuring compliance with health policies and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an approved program in physical therapy.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida (temporary permit acceptable).
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering data from various sources including the patient, physician, and family.
• Develops treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care, setting specific goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates competency in the use and maintenance of profession-specific equipment, ensuring safety and providing explanations.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans and goals as necessary.
• Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets information to identify age-specific needs.
• Provides care according to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring optimal patient benefit from therapy.
• Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing for services provided.
• Provides patient and family education as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies.
• Participates in performance improvement and program development activities.
