As a Physical Therapist, you will create a healing atmosphere for patients that enhances the Cleveland Clinic treatment experience. You will assist in providing highly specialized treatment for bones, joints, muscles and tendons specifically designed for the unique needs and health backgrounds of your patients. In many cases, these patients are dealing with pain, so remaining sensitive and compassionate is important in helping them regain their health. Ultimately, your efforts can provide the initial drive and support they need to continue forward in their healing journey. A caregiver in this position works various shifts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. with an occasional Saturday rotation required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or certificate
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care.
  • Perform physical therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s age and condition.
  • Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support caregivers.
