About The Position
Bronson Rehabilitation Services at our Centre St. outpatient location is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative rehab team. Requirements
- Physical Therapist
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Michigan
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire
- Physical Therapist Assistant
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Michigan
- PTA experience preferred
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire
- For Both Roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach
- Comfort using electronic health records and basic computer applications
Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Deliver individualized treatment focused on restoring function, improving strength, relieving pain, and enhancing independence
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers throughout the plan of care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals
- For Physical Therapists
- Perform evaluations and interpret referrals
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans and goals
- Establish functional baselines and track patient progress
- Supervise PTAs, students, and rehab support staff as applicable
- Participate in program development, process improvement, and clinical education
- For Physical Therapist Assistants
- Provide treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out established plans of care and therapeutic interventions
- Support patient participation in individual and group therapy activities
- Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and program initiatives
- Documentation & Team Support
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in the electronic health record within compliance timelines
- Communicate barriers to timely documentation when needed
- Participate in department initiatives, committees, and quality improvement efforts
- Serve as a clinical resource within areas of expertise
