About The Position
The position involves the evaluation and treatment of patients in specific therapy areas, ensuring that all interventions are documented accurately and in a timely manner according to regulatory requirements. The role requires maintaining professional licensure and registration in good standing with the South Carolina Licensure Board for Physical Therapy and an accrediting agency. Continuing education is essential to fulfill licensure requirements and to enhance the knowledge base of the therapist. The therapist will work closely with other departments to provide interdisciplinary and age-appropriate patient care, and will also be responsible for educating and training other staff members, outside departments, and the community. Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing assistants and rehab technicians, and the completion of CPR certification, Edu code, and annual health screenings as per hospital policy. Additional duties may be assigned by the Manager or Director.
