About The Position

Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Lead is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the Physical Therapy (PT) department within the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role ensures high-quality patient care, supports staff development and training, manages departmental operations, and drives growth and innovation in PT services.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Utah.
Leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and team management skills.
Knowledge of ASC operations and regulatory requirements in Utah.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain PT program to enhance patient outcomes and expand services.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and integrate best practices.
Lead in-service trainings for PT staff and other clinical personnel.
Monitor staff competencies and support ongoing professional development.
Ensure the PT department is appropriately staffed to meet patient care demands.
Support infection control and safety standards.
Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, workflow, and operational improvements.
Perform quality audits and studies to monitor performance and patient outcomes.
Work with vendors to ensure PT devices are utilized appropriately and billed correctly.
Maintain compliance with Utah state regulations, ASC requirements, and accreditation standards.
Serve as the primary PT contact for interdepartmental coordination and patient care planning.
Support leadership in departmental planning, budgets, and operational initiatives.
