About The Position

The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, directs, and administers programs of Physical Therapy. The role involves planning and conducting Physical Therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients enhance their physical and functional abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy program required.
  • NC license for Physical Therapy required.
  • BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients and selects appropriate assessment techniques.
  • Synthesizes information to establish a patient care plan including modalities, procedures, exercise programs, and patient education.
  • Gathers and interprets data from medical records, physician reports, and patient/family input.
  • Establishes functional goals with patients and provides evidence-based interventions.
  • Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, and discharge notes.
  • Communicates patient evaluations and progress to physicians and clinical staff.
  • Coordinates patient schedules and treatment programs, including discharge planning.
  • Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Rehab Tech/Aides as required.
