The Inpatient Physical Therapist provides acute care services to cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, pulmonary and medical-surgical patients as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy or Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- NYS Physical Therapist license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred
- BLS required within 60 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Physical Therapy assessment and treatment of patients
- Education of patients and family members
- Work with an interdisciplinary team for individualized plans of care and transition planning
