About The Position

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center seeks a full-time Physical Therapist to join our acute care rehabilitation team comprised of over sixty staff members including PT’s, OT’s, SLP’s and mobility technicians. In this role the Physical Therapist will work with hospital patients after surgery, illness or injury. The selected candidate will provide physical therapy services to patients on all units and of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. At this academic, Level-I trauma center, the physical therapist will work closely with a large team of diverse providers in a collaborative, collegial work environment that fosters the best care possible for our patients. Requirements

Bachelor's degree if graduate prior to 2002; minimum of Master's degree if graduating in 2002 or later.
Licensed PT with NH eligibility
BLS

Responsibilities

Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, prognosticates and provides intervention. Reports findings to other health care team members. Provides discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching
Establishes physical therapy plan of care to include interventions, frequency, disposition plan and goals based upon achievable outcomes.
Participates in department in-services, student education, and department committees,
Completes timely documentation and billing, prioritizes a caseload, and coordinates care with other rehab disciplines and nursing staff
Coordinates the scheduling of patients and meetings
Establishes individual professional goals and is proactive to achieve those goals
Delegates tasks to support personnel
Performs other duties as required or assigned
