Overview Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Physical therapist II under general supervision, develops and delivers physical therapy services to patient's specific to age and developmental level by assessment, program planning, and provision of treatment. Provides functional supervision to physical therapy personnel assisting in patient treatment. Provides instruction to assigned physical therapy interns on clinical observations and affiliations. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Requirements

  • 1+ year full time experience as a PT I treating pediatric patients.
  • Hospital based experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices and CHLA patient care policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a therapeutic and professional demeanor; apply basic concepts of evidence-based practice; prioritize patient therapy tasks; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Additional competencies and qualifications may be required by the work location.
  • Graduation from an approved School of Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
