About The Position

Atlantic Health is looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist II with Serial Casting experience at Morristown Medical Center’s Goryeb Children's Hospital located in beautiful Morristown, NJ. As a Physical Therapist II for Atlantic Health, your primary responsibility is to provide your serial casting knowledge and skills to provide effective therapy to our pediatric population. The responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. This role requires a passion for fostering the growth and development of medically complex children and working with a highly collaborative team. Our therapeutic team consists of Team Members who work collaboratively and embody core values of delivering the top-rated patient-centered care. Mornings are the most exciting part of the day, as we perform evaluations on new patients. This time is especially enjoyable as it provides the opportunity to meet the families of these very special patients. Many of the families are excited and especially relieved that their child is eligible for this non-invasive alternative! The therapists in this department typically see 5-7 patients per day, who usually complete a series of 6-8 weekly casts, with each visit starting by gait observation, stretching, and measuring progress. The team then works to create a new cast for the upcoming week to promote greater range of motion and mobility. Since the families come to the clinic every week, the rapport between the family is truly special. Our therapists are fully present for our patients and their families on their good days and bad and strive to be the most positive part of their day.
