About The Position

This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the Acute Care and Acute Rehab settings. The Physical Therapist I (Entry/Competent) provides services within VA Licensure, TJC and CMS guidelines for patient care and billing for services.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited PT program.
• Current Va PT licensure or license eligible.
• BLS CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with Physical therapy team, Occupational Therapists, SLPs, Providers, Nursing and Case managers to promote interdisciplinary plans of care for Centra hospital patients.
• Completion of evaluations per Provider order and develops PT plan of care.
• Completion of supervisory visits for LPTAs following Va licensure guidelines.
• Completes documentation that is within Va Licensure, TJC and CMS guidelines.
• Follows Centra Values
• Completion of mandatory yearly education for employment and to maintain Va licensure.
• Preceptor to new employees on volunteer basis.
• Clinical instructor to PT/PTA students on volunteer basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
