About The Position

Are you an experienced inpatient Physical Therapist who is looking to transition to a Nationally Recognized Hospital? If so, Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for the Inpatient PT Department at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. Essential functions include patient evaluation, establishing plans of care and treatment programs, providing interventions, providing patient and family education, documenting interventions, and billing appropriately. Supports Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation. Participates in the orientation of new staff members, serves as a clinical instructor for students, exercises independent judgement of moderately complex cases and with minimal to no supervision. This position requires safe patient handling. Must be able to provide patients with needed support during transitions, transfers, ambulation, stairs and other activities. In the event of an unanticipated situation, must be able to safely lower the patient to the floor. May involve pushing/pulling and/or carrying rehabilitation equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Academic Program

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care experience in a large academic medical setting, preferably 1-4 years
  • Preference given to candidate that have completed a successful clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health
  • Preference given to candidates with Board Certification as a Specialist in an area suitable for care in an acute care setting.
