About The Position

This position is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs designed to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. The role requires demonstrating advanced knowledge and practice level competencies, serving as a recognized clinical or workflow subject matter expert. Key responsibilities include developing workflows, clinical protocols, or guidelines for the department. The individual will also act as a resource for education, training, and mentoring other staff, and as a clinical instructor for assigned students, potentially coordinating staff education and student programs. Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is crucial to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy school
  • PT-Physical Therapist certification
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • DL-Valid Drivers License (for Home Health department)
  • AUTO-Automobile Insurance (for Home Health department)
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in developing solutions
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities
  • Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills
  • Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement
  • Ability to teach/educate others, public speaking
  • Ability to develop training materials and competency assessments
  • Ability to develop treatment protocols
  • Ability to extract evidence-based practice information and apply to clinical practice and training materials

Responsibilities

  • Develop key workflows and clinical protocols or guidelines for the department.
  • Serve as a resource in the education, training and mentoring of other staff and as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
  • Coordinate staff education and student programs (as applicable).
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
