Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program at the Bachelor level.
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
  • Active cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certification upon hire.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist (LPT) eligible for licensure in the State of Texas upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of Acute Care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Has knowledge of therapeutic principles and practices good clinical judgment.
  • Identifies and records problems areas on evaluation.
  • Analyzes and designs treatment plans based on patient problems and goals.
  • Prepares for patient discharge in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Fosters teamwork by treating all staff fairly and facilitating 2-way communication.
  • Organizes patient treatment time efficiently.
  • Records patient's progress in a concise, accurate, and timely fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
