About The Position

TransPerfect is seeking a Physical Therapist to build a strong Physical Therapy program and optimize the functionality and skills of patients. The role involves evaluating and treating residents based on written orders from physicians, screening facility residents, and completing all necessary documentation. The Physical Therapist will attend required meetings and in-services, including family meetings and care plans, and will work in conjunction with the Director of Rehabilitation to develop programs tailored to the needs of facility residents. Compliance with infection control procedures and OBRA Resident's Rights Guidelines is essential. The Physical Therapist will also provide consultation and clinical supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), maintain a valid state license, and ensure appropriate scheduling of residents. Additional responsibilities include facilitating family and staff in-services and assisting the facility in meeting standards for state and federal certification.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
  • Strong time management and ability to manage caseload
  • Ability to clinically supervise Physical Therapy Assistants according to state regulations
  • Master of Science Degree or greater in Physical Therapy
  • State licensure

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Living experience preferred
  • PDPM knowledge
  • Experience with therapy software/EMR
  • Medicaid case mix knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Complete other tasks assigned by the manager/supervisor
