Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
  • Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
  • Experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
  • Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
  • Perform duties in alignment with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.
