About The Position

Practices as a Physical Therapist within the scope of care defined in the Georgia Physical Therapy Act. Plans, implements and evaluates PT intervention to assign in and outpatients upon consultation with a physician in order to promote maximal functional efficiency of the patient. Responsible for treatment of all clients referred to the Physical Therapy Department at Grady regardless of age, neonates through geriatrics.

Requirements

• Master Degree from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Education of the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Able to obtain and provide proof of Georgia Physical Therapist licensure at the commencement of employment.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience preferred in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy interventions for inpatients and outpatients.
• Consult with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
• Promote maximal functional efficiency of patients through tailored therapy programs.
• Provide treatment to clients referred to the Physical Therapy Department, including neonates to geriatrics.
