About The Position

This is a full-time float position within the Physical Medicine Float Pool at Saint Francis, offering an incentive pay rate. The role involves working across various Saint Francis locations, including Outpatient, IP Rehab, and Acute Care, with a preference for candidates who have experience in outpatient settings. The schedule consists of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. The candidate must be willing to cover locations in Muskogee and/or Vinita as needed.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid State of Oklahoma Licensure or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy.
• 0 - 6 months of related experience.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and families.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Basic computer knowledge for data input and reporting.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Effective reasoning ability and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment.
• Progresses patient treatment as appropriate.
• Carries a patient load that reflects productivity standards.
• Evaluates patients accurately and plans appropriate treatment.
• Sets and meets functional goals, revising and progressing treatment programs as goals are met.
• Provides instruction to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers.
• Maintains appropriate treatment records and completes accurate daily patient charges.
• Completes patient records in a timely manner, reflecting time spent and procedures performed.
• Maintains technical expertise through continuing education and departmental in-services.
• Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments and delegates patients to support personnel as appropriate.
• Assists with training of new P.T. employees.
