Job Summary Responsible to provide high quality physical therapy assessments, Inter-Disciplinary Team participation, and training for direct support professionals at American Training. Requirements

  • PT licensure required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete physical therapy assessments on Guests in all American Training Day Habilitation programs upon admittance to the program and then every two years or if there is a decline in baseline level of functioning.
  • Provide clinical oversight /supervision to the Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Provide Colleague training as needed.
  • Comply with documentation requirements.
  • Review and sign all doctor's orders and supportive and protective device forms.
  • Monitor adaptive equipment and write letters of justification needed for any wheelchair modification or new wheelchair order(s).
  • Consult with families and/or Colleagues as needed.
