About The Position

Wayne Memorial Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Jesup, Georgia. We welcome experienced Physical Therapists as well as new graduates to apply. Our organization, Innovative Therapy Concepts, was founded in 2006 and is dedicated to providing exceptional therapy management services. We focus on achieving great outcomes for our patients, treating a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, neurological issues, balance disorders, and deconditioning. As part of our swing bed rehabilitation program, you will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists to ensure the best patient experience and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
  • Must have an active and current Physical Therapist License.
  • Must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination.
  • Strong emphasis on patient care, quality, outcomes, and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review Physician's referral and patient's condition to determine required physical therapy treatment.
  • Test and measure patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
  • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data.
  • Administer manual and therapeutic exercises to improve function, strength, ROM, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing physical activities to achieve functional goals.
  • Administer treatments involving application of physical agents and modalities.
  • Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust as necessary to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart.
  • Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Confer with Physicians and other practitioners to integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient care.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants or Techs as needed.
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy topics.
