Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant will play an important role in supporting outpatient rehabilitation services within a private practice setting. This position is responsible for carrying out treatment plans under the direction of the Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, function, and physical performance through guided therapy sessions. The role also includes monitoring patient response, maintaining clinical documentation, and contributing to an organized treatment environment that supports efficient and effective care delivery.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Active New Jersey PTA license
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior outpatient experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Carry out PT-directed treatment plans
- Assist patients during exercises and therapy activities
- Monitor treatment response and progress over time
- Record treatment details and patient updates
- Communicate observations to the supervising therapist
- Keep treatment spaces organized and ready for use
