About The Position
Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in their geriatric clinics at Four Corners Regional in Blanding, UT. This therapist-owned company focuses on helping older adults regain mobility, confidence, and dignity, providing therapy for residents navigating recovery, chronic conditions, and life transitions. The role involves treating a medically complex geriatric population where clinical reasoning and compassion are valued. Independence Rehab offers a supportive environment for both new graduates seeking mentorship and experienced PTAs looking for a sustainable caseload, emphasizing clinician support and clinical judgment autonomy. They are actively interviewing and offer relocation assistance.
Requirements
- Active Utah PTA license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes
Nice To Haves
- SNF experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Treat a medically complex geriatric population in a setting where time, clinical reasoning, and compassion are valued
- Guide residents through mobility milestones - first steps, safe transfers, returning home
- Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions
- Help reduce fall risk and build confidence with daily activities
- Collaborate closely with your PT to adjust care plans
- Work alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery
- Celebrate small wins that matter deeply to patients and families
