About The Position

Description Overview: IU Health is looking for team members who are passionate about challenging and significant work for the good of every patient. Location: IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Shift: Full-Time, Mon – Fri, one weekend day/ month required. Experience: 3 months of acute care experience preferred. Will consider new grads with acute care fieldwork experience. Roles and Responsibilities: Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations. Requires an Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program, or if foreign trained, graduation from an assistant physical therapist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Requires certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Requirements

  • Requires certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana.
