We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position will be based at the outpatient rehabilitation clinic located in the Bo Dome in Bensenville IL. The potential candidate will play a vital role in assisting licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients primarily in orthopedics and post-surgical. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping patients regain their mobility and help improve their overall quality of life.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a PTA in IL ( or willingness to apply)
  • CPR Certified.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Energetic and a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional patient care and services.
  • Progressing patient's plan of care that has been established by the physical therapist.
  • Periodic written and dictated communication to physicians through progress notes and discharge summaries after consulting with supervising PT regarding patient's plan of care.
  • Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate treatment plan, follow-up appointments, and potential discharge for patients.
  • Supervising rehabilitation aides with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
  • Daily paperwork. All PT Assistants are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts and completing all written communications in a timely manner.
