Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
  • Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice in Rhode Island
  • CPR and first aid certification required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in evaluating clients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations
  • Assisting patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living
  • Observing patients during treatments and reporting observations to the Physical Therapist.
