About The Position

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy treatments that support patient recovery and functional improvement.

Requirements

• Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant
• Current license in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification
• No prior experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient treatment according to professional standards of practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance in compliance with Orlando Health policies and applicable regulations.
• Ensure adherence to all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive and active treatment environment.
• Demonstrate caring, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Participate in quality assessment, program development, student supervision, committees, safety, and infection control.
• Maintain awareness of legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, including understanding growth and development principles and interpreting patient data to meet individual needs.
