About The Position

Hillcrest Rehab Services is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehab team enhancing lives through physical therapy at Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln. A Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant enhances the lives of individuals by following a plan of PT treatment established by a physical therapist using evidence-based techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program required.
• At least two years of experience performing as a PTA in a long term care, post-acute, hospital, home care or similar setting preferred.
• Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a PTA.
• Must have BLS CPR certification or be willing to obtain within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient treatments in accordance with established plan of care using evidence based guidelines.
• Completes accurate charging of services and provides documentation to support the charges and provision of the therapy services within facility guidelines.
• Manages each patient's plan of care effectively by timely interdisciplinary collaboration and communication with physician involvement as needed.
• Initiates regular communication back to the supervising physical therapist about patient care issues, departmental concerns, and specific ideas affecting goals and treatment plan development.
