About The Position
We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to help patients work toward better movement, stronger function, and safer day-to-day mobility. In this role, you will carry out treatment plans created by the supervising Physical Therapist, guide patients through exercises, and help keep their progress moving in the right direction. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on care, meaningful patient interaction, and seeing the results of consistent treatment over time.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active New Jersey PTA license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- CPR certification required
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to stay organized and provide consistent patient support
Nice To Haves
- Previous outpatient or rehabilitation experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and treatment activities
- Observe patient performance and report updates to the supervising therapist
- Document treatments, patient response, and progress accurately
- Reinforce home exercise plans and follow-up instructions
- Prepare treatment areas and assist with equipment setup
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
