We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services focused on improving functional mobility, strength, and independence for our residents.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Active California PTA license in good standing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and sound judgment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled nursing or geriatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Implement treatment plans to restore and maintain functional mobility
  • Document daily treatment notes and progress in accordance with state and facility standards
  • Communicate patient progress, concerns, and outcomes with the rehab and interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in care conferences as needed
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy department
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and discharge planning
  • Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
