Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Reports To Physical Therapist / Director of Rehabilitation Job Summary Provides therapy services under supervision of PT. Delivers treatment programs, monitors progress, and assists patients in achieving independence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Carry out PT treatment plans for individuals and groups. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities as directed. Educate patients on mobility and assistive devices. Document treatment and patient response. Report changes to supervising PT. Qualifications An Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program is required. A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required and must be maintained. Clinical experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- KSAs Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment. Ability to follow treatment directions. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching. Work in long-term care and healthcare environments.
