About The Position
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys helping patients make steady progress in their recovery. In this role, you will work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, and support their progress with clear communication and accurate documentation. This is a hands-on position for someone who values quality care and wants to play an active part in each patient’s improvement.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Florida PTA license
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to work well under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
Nice To Haves
- Previous outpatient experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Monitor patient performance and report changes in condition or response to treatment
- Document visits accurately and in a timely manner
- Reinforce home exercise instructions approved by the Physical Therapist
- Prepare equipment and treatment areas before and after sessions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members throughout the day
