Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Licensed as a PTA in the state of Pennsylvania
- Physical and mental capability to meet the job’s physical demands
- Manual dexterity and general physical endurance
- Regular lifting (5–35 lbs) and carrying (5–10 lbs over 40–50 ft)
- Routine pushing loads (5–150 lbs) on casters or pulleys
- Sustained gripping (1–2 minutes of 40–50 lbs)
- Ability to guard a lift load of 120–140 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Indirect supervision license preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, including modalities, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy
- Support daily documentation in a team setting
- Help patients stretch and exercise targeted muscle groups
- Read and apply Physical Therapist instructions for personalized care
- Guide patients through balance training and other therapeutic techniques
- Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling and paperwork
- Work closely with supervising Physical Therapists (indirect supervision preferred but not required)
