Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Licensed as a PTA in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Physical and mental capability to meet the job’s physical demands
  • Manual dexterity and general physical endurance
  • Regular lifting (5–35 lbs) and carrying (5–10 lbs over 40–50 ft)
  • Routine pushing loads (5–150 lbs) on casters or pulleys
  • Sustained gripping (1–2 minutes of 40–50 lbs)
  • Ability to guard a lift load of 120–140 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Indirect supervision license preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care, including modalities, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy
  • Support daily documentation in a team setting
  • Help patients stretch and exercise targeted muscle groups
  • Read and apply Physical Therapist instructions for personalized care
  • Guide patients through balance training and other therapeutic techniques
  • Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling and paperwork
  • Work closely with supervising Physical Therapists (indirect supervision preferred but not required)
