Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
As a full time, nonexempt Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence. Working under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists, you'll implement treatment plans, support patient progress, and contribute to a collaborative care environment. Location: Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio Schedule: This full-time, nonexempt position will work up to 40 hours/week weekdays and as needed on weekends. Rehab Department Hours: Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-6:30pm, and Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. Saturday and Sunday are on an on-call, as needed basis. The Rehab Department utilizes Epic.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing (or eligibility)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Experience with Parkinson’s treatment and/or vestibular treatment
Responsibilities
- Perform physical therapy treatments according to plan of care in outpatient, acute care, or home health settings
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and ensure exercises are performed safely and correctly
- Document via Epic or Homecare application
- Perform clinical upkeep as needed
- Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff
- Adhere to state practice acts, facility policies, and professional standards
