Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Work with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
  • Support recovery from injury, surgery, or illness through therapeutic exercises and techniques.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate residents and families on mobility strategies, safety, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including PT, OT, SLP, and nursing.
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to goal setting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide therapy in a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment.
