Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Work with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Support recovery from injury, surgery, or illness through therapeutic exercises and techniques.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate residents and families on mobility strategies, safety, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including PT, OT, SLP, and nursing.
- Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to goal setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide therapy in a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment.
