About The Position

Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient PRN Location: 205 Hampton Ave, Punxsutawney, PA 15767 Schedule: PRN, weekdays (Mon-Fri) Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00/hour, commensurate with experience Whether you’re a seasoned PTA or a new grad, we welcome you! Indirect supervision experience is helpful but not mandatory. You’ll work with a varied patient population—orthopedic, neuro, vestibular, concussion, industrial, and fall prevention. Plus, per diem therapists receive free access to 300+ APTA-accredited continuing education courses annually. If interested, additional coverage options include: Indiana, DuBois, Brockway and Houtzdale centers. We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. Requirements

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Indirect supervision experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• outpatient experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
