Requirements

An Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state Physical Therapist Assistance license
Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current

Responsibilities

Execute components of patient care, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation, as directed by the physical therapist.
Teach patients and their families exercises to be continued at home, ensuring understanding and compliance to promote recovery.
Observe and document patient responses and progress toward goals, adjusting treatments as necessary and reporting back to the physical therapist.
Work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient’s specific needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with all guidelines and regulations.
